After All Is Said And Done
I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas this year. I didn't get to give the present I really wanted to, but I still gave lots to my family. But with the holiday's gone, my husband and I have been married almost 7 months. In addition to taking down our tree tomorrow, I'm planning on calling a doctor to help get the ball rolling. Sometimes I do wonder though if God has a plan for when I get pregnant. I mean, traveling to see family and going back to school in the fall gets a lot harder when your either pregnant or have a baby on board. We will have to see what the new year has in store for us I guess!

With Every Christmas Card I Write
Christmas cards are so hard to write. I never know whether to include a message in each one, a picture, or just write a letter. The past few years, I've made my cards, whether by stamping or drawing. This year, I went simple...and my husband and I decided to add a picture. Only one problem. My husband hates getting his picture taken. So, we've decided to use one of our pictures taken for the save-the-date's from our wedding, the ones we ended up not using. And so here I sit, finding a web editor to fix my pictures, making them Christmas-y so they can be sent out.... a week after I'd planned. Life is only going to be busier next year. (fingers crossed)

Till This Season Comes 'Round Again
My husband and I finished decorating our little Christmas tree today. As we hung the ornaments, I thought about all that had happened since the last tree I helped put up. It seems like ages ago. I found a wonderful man, who six months later became my husband. I moved twice, into an apartment with my husbnad and then in with my mother-in-law. We lost my father-in-law just four months after our wedding. Life hits you fast, changing all the time. Among my hopes for the next year are an addition to the family and for my family to be sealed for time and all eternity. I don't want death to seperate me from my family ever again.

Annoying Animals!
What is it about animals that drive people nuts? My mother-in-law has two dogs and two cats. The cats get fur absolutely everywhere and never stop meowing for another can of food. They'll eat dry, but they'll complain the whole time. The dogs would happily eat it for them, so much so that a gate seperates the dogs from where the cat food and the litter box is stored. But for all that they annoy me, I'm willing to put up with the cats. It's the dogs that get of my nerves the most! Stasha, a purebred black lab puppy, will be a year in April. She gets into the garbage, into your lap, and boy, does she know how to push buttons! TOnight, she was chasing the rest of the pets around the house. The tomcat, Lightening, tries to take off her face every night just to get her to leave him alone. You can't eat around Stasha either. She climbs in your lap, yes literally, and sticks her tongue on your food while it's on its way to your mouth. Lucy, the pug, is just as bad, but her small size makes it not as annoying. Eating at the table doesn't make a difference either. They whine and still do their best to climb on your lap. The dining table is a high one, but Stasha stands taller than it. And she isn't done growing! I think what I'm getting at is Stasha is much more annoying than Lucy and the cats, but I still ending up wishing I could afford a dog trainer to fix the pups bad habits!

Bringing in the Dough
I started my second job today. The store is only open for November and December, but I'm hoping I'll bring in enough money to cover Christmas. My husband wants me to just put everything in savings. I'm thinking, with the size of my new family, that I'm going to have to only put half of what I make away. We have big plans. As soon as my mother-in-law's house is paied off, we want to get a house of our own. We want to have children, which I've heard isn't cheap. And, we don't want to have to rent furniture when we do get a house. Don't rent furniture! If something big happens and you have to return it, any payment in advance that the company received, they pocket. It's a bad deal all around. Ok, back on track! I got a second job, so we could save up for our futures... and cover Christmas!

Not Again!
It's always so depressing when I find out that yet again I am not pregnant. Every month that goes by breaks me yet again, breaks me, breaks my husband, and breaks the hearts of those that are hoping for grandchildren.

The Woes of Trying to Conceive
Today, I found a new pet peeve. I'm sure every woman that has tried to have a child has had the same one. A girl at work asked me if my husband and I were planning on children eventually. I told her that we were trying for one now. She gave me a dumbstruck look and said, "You mean you have to try? I got pregnant the first time." I nodded and smiled, but inside, I was fuming. Why is it that women that don't want a child get pregnant so easily?

Introductions are in order!
Hi! I'm Amy. My husband and I have been together 5 months (with 6 months before marriage). We've been trying for a child for almost a year. Due to recent events, (the passing of my father-in-law) we've had to move in with my mother-in-law. It's a full house with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 nephews that eat over here every night! I got a hill to climb before baby gets here! I got animals to retrain, nephews to inform of boundaries, and tv/game room to turn into a nursery(while evicting the husband from it). Welcome to my crazy life!!!!
